Keyword Research and Competition Analysis

What is keyword research (keyword research) and what is meant by competition analysis?

Users search on search engines using keywords or keywords, and the machine will produce results that are relevant to those keywords.

With the help of tools from Google, we can do research to get keywords that are popular or those with low competition.

The importance of keyword research

At the beginning of my career as a blogger, because I did not understand about keyword research, I made an article on the topic of no search. I was surprised, even though the article was ranked number 1 on Google search results but why didn’t it get traffic?

It was only after I understood keyword research that I realized that the keywords I was looking for were no one looking for.

So, keyword research is important so that we don’t get tired of making articles and finally nobody reads.

Then what is meant by competition analysis?

For a new blog or website whose SEO foundation is not strong, there are times when we need to target keywords that have low competition so that we can still appear on the first page.

Keyword research with Google Keyword Planner
My favorite tool in doing keyword research is GKP or Google Keyword Planner. The reason, because it’s free and features complete. In addition, because Google’s own property is certainly more accurate.

To do keyword research it’s easy enough:

Enter keywords, you can enter more than one. To enter more than one keyword, use a comma or line break
Set the target country
select a language
Click ‘get ideas’
Then you will be directed to the following page:

From here we can see that there are 320 people who search for keywords to buy clothes in a month. On the other hand, if I replace it with “selling clothes” it turns out the result is 1,900, this means that those who are looking for selling clothes are more than buying clothes.

By utilizing our knowledge of on-page SEO from the previous chapter, we can optimize our website pages by using keywords selling clothes rather than buying clothes.

Such is the basic core of keyword research.

Look for low competition keywords
In conducting keyword research, usually we as new website owners are targeting low competition. This is because a new website usually doesn’t have a strong “foundation” so it will lose if you compete with a large website.

Please read this article to find non-competitive niches and keywords.

Long tail keyword
One more thing you need to know about keyword research is long tail keywords or long-tailed keywords.

In addition to the keywords you are looking for, GKP also displays the number of searches from similar keywords. For example, from the picture above, there are also other keywords such as new clothes such as buying and selling clothes, buying clothes online, buying and selling clothes online, and others.

From here, if we optimize the website for keyword buying clothes, then there are only 320 searches per month. But if we optimize to buy clothes online, the total search is 1,300 + 320 = 1,620.

But of course the decision goes back to you and is relevant or not your content with existing long tail.

Finally, if your website is an online store (e-commerce) or monetized with affiliate products, long tail keywords usually provide a greater conversion rate than regular keywords. This is because people who use long tail usually have higher intention to buy.

For example, people looking for “blue clothes” with “buy blue clothes”. The first is usually just looking for information, while the second one looks at the intention to buy.

On-Page SEO: Optimizing Website and Website Content for Search Engines

On-page SEO is the factors that determine whether or not your website is optimized for search engines seen from its own website.

That is, you will do an optimization on your own website.

On-page optimization aims to let search engines know whether your website is relevant / in accordance with what is sought by the user. And really the best quality.

Therefore, the key is 2 things: relevant, quality.

Without fulfilling both, it is impossible to get rank 1 in the search engine.

In this article, we will study in any part of the website you must implement on-page optimization and how to do the optimization.

On-page SEO concept
In SEO, the on-page optimization concept is a MAIN thing that you must understand.

There are still other optimization categories besides on-page (off-page, discussed in the next chapter), but without implementing on-page optimization it will be useless to do other strategies.

The essence of on-page SEO is simple …

… you will optimize the website so:

High useful for visitors
Facilitate visitors in conducting exploration
Visitors feel at home in it
Search engines understand the structure of your website
After reading these 4 points, you might ask,

“I am optimizing for search engines, why focus on visitors?”

The answer, this …

Search engines can find out whether visitors are satisfied with the page they are visiting.

Imagine if you are looking for something on Google, then go to one of the websites. Apparently the contents are not satisfactory. Most likely after a few seconds you will click the ‘back’ button to search for another website. Yes, right?

Because Google certainly wants to display websites that satisfy users, your website must satisfy visitors.

Here’s how:

Optimal Website Page Components
There are several factors that affect the satisfaction of website users. We will discuss one by one from each of the following categories:

Content
Keyword
Title
URL
Meta description
Picture media
Outbound link
Internal link
Social sharing
Website speed

1. Top quality content
If you notice, content is the main component in the website page. That is, content holds the biggest role in on-page optimization.

It’s impossible to get rank 1 without having quality content.

… but, what is quality content?

These are the characteristics:

Provides maximum benefits for visitors
More prominent than other similar content
Listed for a long time by visitors
Generating feelings (amazed, entertained, happy, etc.)
Resolving visitor problems
That’s 5 criteria for quality content.

If you want to get rank 1 on a search engine for a long duration, then your content should meet those five things.

Without exception.

You also need to know that Google openly states that they oppose content that:

Thin (thin), in other words not weighty
Does not provide added value to the reader
Not original
Makes the reader frustrated (because the quality is low)
If your content falls into one of the categories above, it will be very difficult to get a high ranking.

Worse, content like that is at risk of penalties!

Google and other search engines actively update the algorithm. In the future, they will increasingly understand the quality of content.

So, be careful when publishing content for your website.

To help you create good content, please read the following guidelines:

6 elements that trigger the popularity of content
The “KTP” method for creating weighty content
Guide to article writing
2. Keywords that are popular and right on target
Try to remember back last time when you used Google … you wrote a few words as the keyword.

Then Google displays the results related to the keyword earlier.

The more relevant the keyword, the higher the ranking.

So, optimizing a page means optimizing keywords.

Every page on your website must be optimized for at least 1 keyword.

How?

By including keywords in your website page.

Exactly inside the content, in the title, and in the URL.

Thus, search engines and visitors will immediately understand what the contents of your website pages are.

One more thing…

You must understand what is meant by a keyword.

For example someone does a search on Google with the keyword “buy an iphone”.

What do you mean by that?

Does he want to buy an iPhone or does he want to read articles about how to buy an iPhone? Hmm … looks like the first one makes more sense.

Google also understands this.

So that Google will display pages that sell iPhones.

Therefore, it is impossible to get a high ranking if you provide articles on how to buy an iPhone.

3. The title of the page that invites clicks
The easiest way to optimize a title is to include the main keyword that you are looking for.

For example the keyword “learn SEO”, then the title contains the word “learning SEO”.

But that’s not enough …

… the most important in the title is not keyword optimization, but optimization of human interest.

If the title you make is able to attract many visitors, the ranking will increase.

The logic is this:

Suppose there are 2 competing websites, ranked 1 and 2.

It turns out that rank 2 gets more visitors than rank 1 … because the titles he makes are more interesting, so many click.

Google wants to prioritize the best results, then the website ranked 2 will be raised to the first rank.

Make sense?

Because the title is the first page element to read in the search results, then by optimizing the title, the number of clicks can increase.

Read this guide to learn how to make interesting titles.

4. Short, descriptive URLs
Although the effect is not large, URLs containing keywords can affect the ranking of your website in search results.

Here is an example of a bad URL. Avoid using URLs like this.

guidim.com/?p=94
A good URL is always relevant to what the page contains.

Example:

The page about ‘meatball recipes’> domain.com/resep-bakso/
The macbook pro product page> domain.com/laptop/macbook-pro/
Make a URL that describes the content, even better if it contains the main keyword.

5. The Meta description is descriptive and invites clicks
The Meta description is 1-2 sentences that appear in the search results:

The Meta description does not really affect your page ranking.

Also, it doesn’t always appear in search results. Because Google now uses sentences more often in content as page descriptions.

Even so, there is no harm in this section being optimized.

(Moreover, it doesn’t take long)

With an attractive meta description, the chances of other people to visit your website will be higher.

Like the logic, the more clicks from humans = the better the ranking.

6. High-quality and optimal-sized images
Imagine a website page that is 100% text-filled, must be very boring. Therefore, images and / or videos are added value.

Strangely, many people think the picture is actually detrimental …

…not true.

There is no loss in using multimedia in content.

Except, if the number is very large so that the computer visitors to your website crash. Or if it has nothing to do with content.

Some tips:

Use images that relate and explain content
Use the right type of extension so the file size doesn’t swell
Make sure the image resolution is as shown
Compress the image so that it is optimal
Add the alt attribute when placing the image
7. References in the form of links to other websites
This point is very important especially for new websites.

Google, as an information center, certainly wants to provide reliable content. So that the information does not mislead many people.

This is why large websites are easier to enter the first page …

… because his reputation has been built up for a long time.

Well, because your website is still new, Google considers its contents to be untrustworthy. Because it is not trusted, it will be more difficult to get a high ranking.

Here the reference link can help.

Links to other websites whose reputation is good and relevant will make your content’s reputation better. .

An analogy like this:

Try taking one of the non-fiction books.

In the book there must be a bibliography or footnotes. It contains information on quotes from other sources.

Books without quotes from other sources will be considered untrustworthy.

8. Internal links to facilitate navigation
There is a term whose name is bounce.

Bounce means when someone enters your website, then he immediately goes out without doing anything.

If the bounce rate of your website is high, it could be because:

The quality is disappointing
Navigation is difficult
Remember again, websites that disappoint visitors won’t get high rankings.

So that the bounce rate can be a factor that shows visitor satisfaction.

One effort to reduce the bounce rate is to install internal links (links between pages), so that visitors easily visit other pages on your website.

Here’s how to build a website structure with an internal link.

9. Can be shared to social media
At present Google does not consider the number of shares to be a determining factor for ranking on Google, but that does not mean that social sharing is not important.

On the contrary.

Social shares have an indirect impact on website ranking.

This is the benefit of social share:

Additional visitors
Branding, your website will be known
Satisfaction factor increases (if your website can satisfy visitors)
Some of the visitors will provide backlinks (discussed further in the next chapter)
Compared to SEO, social media will build your website brand faster.

This has an effect on SEO.

When your website is known, people will search your website through Google …

… because many are searching through Google, meaning that the reputation of your website will be considered good by Google.

Therefore, install the share button on your website.

Then use the popularity trigger element to create interesting content to share.

10. Response speed and speed resistance
A faster website will get a better ranking.

In the article written by Billy Hoffman at MOZ, it appears that websites that are in the top rank have a shorter response time.

Time to First Byte (TTFB) means the time needed by the website server until the user gets the first 1 byte. In other words, server response time.

Increased speed is not only for search engines. Visitors will also be more comfortable on a website with a short loading time.

There are several things that affect speed:

The quality of hosting used
The number of .js and .css files in
The size of the page is too large to disturb visitors
Keep in mind: the existence of images and videos will not be considered to reduce the speed of the website. Unless the amount is excessive and is not needed.

You can test the speed of your website through the Google Page Speed Test. Immediately make repairs if the score is below 75.

What is SEO?

If you have searched websites on Google, Yahoo !, Bing, or other search engines, you will see a list of websites that are relevant to your search.

Search engines sort the search results not randomly, but based on the level of relevance and quality of the website.

There are many factors used by search engines to determine these two factors. This is the background of SEO.

How to Choose Keywords to Easily Enter the First Page of Google

After you find the keyword list at the previous keyword research stage, then you will prepare the keywords which are of high value for you to make the website content and also easy to occupy the first page of Google or shift the top position of search result. So make sure you don’t skip the slightest way I’ll explain below.

The purpose of this stage is to collect and prepare keywords that you will later enter into articles to be used as main content, pillar articles, hero content, or whatever you call it. I will discuss as simple and concise as possible so that you are not confused and can be immediately applied

Remember now that we are in the modern SEO era, so you don’t have to use the old way where every keyword you have got has to be separate content.

For that, at this stage you will sort out which keywords can be combined to be made into one core article. Later, I will give examples of its application so that it can be better understood.

Choose valuable keywords based on Search Intent.
Search intent is the reason why someone searches on Google. Whether to find a problem that they experience, or find information on a particular website, or want to buy goods or just want to know the price.

The keywords you choose determine value or not based on the search intent and the niche website that you created.

In accordance with the blog Yoast Seo here. Search intent can be divided into 4 types:

Informational Intent
Navigational Intent
Commercial Investigaon
Transactional Intent

Informational Intent
Users who type this type of keyword on search engines usually only want to find information about the problems they are experiencing, or want to find answers to the questions.

for example:

How to turn the skin after the beach.
What is the distance between Bandung and Jakarta.
How to create a website for a company.
New tourist attractions in Bogor.
This type of keyword is widely used for blogs that are monetized with PPC such as Google Adsense or CPA. because usually for this type of keyword the search is more and included in the evergreen keyword category.

Navigational intent
Users who type in this type of keyword they usually want to enter certain websites but through Google first.

for example:

Facebook login
click bca
Mandiri internet banking
google drive
google mybusiness
This type of keyword MUST be avoided, because even if you can be on the first page of Google, your visitors will not be much and the site to your site will be small.

Commercial Investigation
Users who type this type of keyword on search engines usually want to buy something but want to find information first, whether they are worth buying, or which items are suitable for their needs and budget.

For example:

Laptops under 7 million.
List of the best hosting.
Market prices for Asus 2018 laptops.
Laptop for playing games.
This type of keyword is usually used for websites that sell products (online stores), Adsense blogs, CPAs, Affiliates.

Online stores that use this type of keyword usually they will lead opinions to the point of view of the author and then they offer products according to user needs.

This type of keyword is also widely used by blogs that are monetized with affiliate features, for example “5 best hosting for online stores”. Actually, whatever the user chooses they still get a commission from the hosting sale.

transactional Intent
Users who type this in search engines are usually ready to want to buy. This type of keyword is of high value, but this keyword competition will also be high because the first page will be occupied by large websites that sell these products.

for example:

Sell cheap Asus ROG laptops.
Sell shoes convers in Bekasi.
Services to create professional websites.
Original Bvlgari Perfume
travel package to bali
This type of keyword is widely used by online store websites and services. The competition for this keyword will also be high because many are eyeing it.

How to choose keywords based on the search intent?
Determine in advance what your money will be monetized using what.

if you choose to use the PPC program, CPA, choose keywords with type search intent:

Informational Intent (70%)
commercial investment (30%)
If your web / blog will be monetized using an affiliate program, try using keywords with type Search Intent:

Informational Intent (30%)
commercial investigation (70%)
If your website is an Online store or an Online Service provider, then the Keyword that you can choose is a keyword with type Search intent:

Informational Intent (10%)
commercial investment (30%)
Transactional Intent (60%)
most online shop owners and online service providers only focus on keywords with the type “Transactional Intent” only. and the results are difficult to enter the first page because it competes with large webs such as lazada, shoope, tokopedia, etc.

You can insert articles in your online store with the keywords “Commercial Investigation” and “Informational Intent” to rank keywords more easily and insert links to the products you sell in the article. Or you can lead opinions on a product, and direct it to the link of the product you are selling.

That way the source of traffic you get from Search Engines is much easier than you have to compete with the Authority website on the first page of Google.

Determine keywords for title / title content
Selection of content titles is a very important part. From the keywords that you have got, which keywords will be the title of the content?

This is one of the most frequently asked questions.

A good title is a title that describes the content of the content you are discussing.

However the content title does not have to contain the exact keywords that you are targeting.

Confused ?? Hehehe

Examples like this:

Targeted keywords; how to research keywords with semrush

If you pay attention to the title, it does not contain exact keywords that are targeted, which are “how to research keywords with the right” Just because the content is about discussing how keyword research is dominant using tools while Google considers this content relevant and ranked at the top.

Even if you notice, in the content I have never mentioned the word “how to research keywords with a lot”

Google is smart enough to interpret the entire contents of the content with keywords that are relevant to the search query typed in by the user.

Another example :

Target keyword: craft from used bottles

Just like before, in the title do not use exact keywords that are targeted namely “craft from used bottles” but the website can be ranked # 2 for those keywords.

For this stage, choose keywords that are more general which are not too specific to certain sub-topics. Even though later you can create a sub discussion of this keyword general.

For example like the example above. From the results of keyword research you get the keyword:

Crafts from used bottles
Cardboard craft
Crafts from aqua plastic
Craft from an ice cream stick
Then you can make an article with the title “Crafting of Used Items” which is written inside the content. You can discuss the keyword list above.

You make the Missal the title “70 handicrafts from used goods”

Where in the content later you can discuss about handicrafts from used bottles, cardboard crafts, etc.

But because these sub keywords can still be expanded, you can create other content using these sub keywords, for example “50 handicrafts using an ice cream stick”

Using this method, even though in title content you use keyword A but you can target keyword B, keyword C, and other keywords to rank using the same content.

Collect keywords that are relevant to the main keyword
The relevant keywords here usually don’t come out when you search for keywords using tools such as google keyword planner or ubbersugest, semrush, etc.

Consider the scrape keyword results from ubbersugest below;

What I mean is relevant, not like the keywords above.

The purpose of relevant keywords is keywords that can strengthen the main keywords.

For example the keyword you are targeting is “bandung tourism”, you can create a list of relevant keywords such as the tourist attractions:

Cliff of the palace
White crater
Ciater hot water
Floating market
Glamping
Etc
Or it can be a specific keyword to the name of the area:

Lembang
Ciwidey
Subang
Canning
Etc

Another example, for example, the keyword you choose is about “SEO”, then the relevant keywords such as:

Research keywords
Onpage seo
SEO Offpage
Backlink
Search engine
Penguin algo
Hummingbird
Etc
If I use word2vec from Wikipedia content for SEO keywords then the results are like this:

For those of you who are used to brain tinkering around machine learning, you can use word2vec from Wikipedia to find relevant topic ideas / related to certain keywords / words.

For example here I want to find relevant keywords for words: Rank and Link

For Rank words and links, the 3 most dominant / relevant words are:

– Search (60%)

– Web (57%)

– Result (54%)

So for example I want to make a sentence I can enter the 3 words to strengthen the words Rank and Link.

Missal:

“Your web needs are more links to higher rankings in search results.”

This keyword will not appear if we look for it using keyword research tools like google keyword planner, ubbersugest, long tail pro, etc.

To search for these relevant keywords you can by reading websites that are already on the first page, articles on Wikipedia, magazines around selected niches or you can ask questions / interviews directly to people who really understand in your chosen niche.

At this stage you collect as many as possible a list of keywords that are relevant or related topics from your main keyword.

By collecting a list of these keywords you already understand what you will discuss in the content, what keywords should appear. So that your content is really solid according to the targeted keywords, not just stale basic sentences, opening and closing.

How to use these keywords in the content I will discuss in how to create SEO content.

When Can I Start Making a Backlink?

For some people who are just starting to learn SEO, maybe this question is often heard, when should I make a backlink to my website. If I am asked like that, my answer is to wait for the website to be stable.

This is more often experienced by fresh domains. Logic for a new website will look unnatural if you suddenly have a vote link from another web without certain factors.

What I mean here is popularity and also Traffic. Of course it will be a big question mark for Google why there is a website that provides Vote Links (backlinks) to a website that is unpopular and does not have traffic to the site. And Google can quickly draw this conclusion is link manipulation.

Here are some info you need to know:

Google knows exactly how many visitors enter your website. Google can also calculate roughly the Bounce Rate of your website pages. Thus Google can easily calculate and see if there are manipulations of links and fake social signals that you do.
I mean here, if our website has a high Bounce Rate (in this case a percentage) then this means that the content or content on the website is not attractive to your visitors.

Content that is not attractive to visitors is very contradictory if they do Share Social Signals let alone Provide backlinks for your site.

Try to imagine when you enter a page that has unattractive content, do you want to press the Share button?

Second, Google can see it through the Visitor who enters your site. Google has a massive range of data that can predict roughly how many reasonable backlinks a website has based on the number of visitors who enter. This means that every addition of a backlink or social signal should always be accompanied by an increase in the number of visitors. Therefore, for fresh domains, it is a little cautious in building backlinks and social signals, Google can easily identify link manipulations that enter our site based on the above factors. This is also the reason why many new websites are often in the sandbox when they do backlinks.

For those of you who are still fresh domain status there are some tips that you can do:

Post as many unique articles as possible to the niche of your website. This can avoid Penalty from one of the factors that are targeted by Algo Panda, namely “Duplicate Content” and also “Thin Content”.
Love social signal (real human / real social engagement) into your website. To branding web pages to be more popular and can also be an alternative source of your initial traffic. Do it naturally if you can dripfeed for 30 days. 3-5 social signals per day is enough compared to building 100 social signals in a day, and the next day there is no activity.
Internal linking optimization (like related post, Silo) and useful and interesting articles to minimize Bounce rate.
For those of you who already have a domain that is stable enough, you still have to be careful when doing aggressive backlinks. The way you notice the effects that arise every time there is a Google Algo update (although minor updates) if your web does not get any effect. Then the web can be said to be stable.

Why Onpage Seo Is Very Important For Seo Experts

There are many factors in ranking a website higher in search result. Onpage and offpage factors are one of them to improve your SEO performance. SEO onpage and SEO offpage are two factors that are equally important, but there are parts where you can do SEO more effectively. for that, here I try to discuss a little about why Onpage is always the #1 factor for Seo Experts.

I tried to give a little description of Google Ranking Factors and why Onpage Opmization is very, very important !!!

In ranking a website there are 3 important points that most people do:

Google Ranking Factor = Onpage Factor x backlink Factor x Social Factor

We assume that the score for ranking the web in no.1 google the value is = 1 (one) à value 1 is considered well optimized.

If I assume my website is currently bad for onpage optimization, and a little better in terms of backlinks and social factors. And our value is discussed like this:

Onpage Factor = 0.4 (less optimized)

Baclink factor = 0.6 (optimized well)

Social Factor = 0.7 (well optimized)

Web score = 0.4 x 0.6 x 0.7

                              = 0.168

So, my current web score is 0.168

Remember … we assume that to rank higher in Google the value is as close as possible to a score of 1.0 (one)

When viewed, this value is still far from the 1.0 score. For this reason, I optimized the perfect maybe from the backlink and social signal side without optimizing Onpage. And I assume after being optimized the value will be like this:

Onpage Factor = 0.4 (same as before, not optimized anymore)

Baclink factor = 1.0 (perfect optimization)

Social Factor = 1.0 (perfect optimization)

Web score = 0.4 x 1.0 x 1.0

                             = 0.40 (up from 0.168)

But I have another alternative. What if I made Sepfet optimization might be onpage. And I’m not optimizing for backlinks and social factors. I assume the value is like this:

Onpage Factor = 1.0 (perfect optimization)

Baclink factor = 0.6 (no additional backlink factor)

Social Factor = 0.7 (no additional social factor)

Web Score = 1.0 x 0.6 x 0.7

                             = 0.42

 You see !!!

The second method is far more effective than me optimizing backlinks and social factors.

This is the reason why masters or SEO experts always prioritize onpage in number # 1. Content is still a king, Right?

The above assumptions are just an illustration of which parts / parts you have to optimize first. The value that I mentioned is not the real system of Google Ranking Factor, but a proportional assumption in optimizing a website.

Complete Guide to Making a PBN (Private Blog Network)

PBN (Private Blog Network) is the most powerful backlink technique with very, very fast results even in a matter of days your web can occupy the first page. I personally usually only need 5-7 days to raise the position of the web client for the Low – Medium category of competition.

PBN has very strong domain criteria so that the links we get are very influential in increasing the web position on the first page. besides that we can control every outgoing link (Out Bound Link) into our moneysite. And recovery of the position if one day the PBN is problematic. this is the reason why you should try the PBN.

What you need to know is that PBN is not included in the White Hat SEO technique, but Gray Hat Method. that’s why SEO experts don’t suggest newbies to use this technique if it’s not done right. there are some basic steps in building PBN, including:

1. Search and analyze expired domain
Finding an expired domain for PBN can be considered difficult “easy. There are many types of expired domains that we can analyze starting from the Pre-Release domain (auction domain), closeout and offer domain, pending delete or delete domain. But to find it still requires tools, some tools that are often used in finding expired domains:

Expireddomains.net
freshdrop.com
DomCop.com
Moonsy.com/expired_domains
PrDrop.info
Paid ones like:

Godaddy Aucions and marketplace
DomainPeel.com (PBN Domain Broker)
I personally prefer to use the Domcop tool, its features are quite complete and easy to check every criterion that needs to be analyzed …

There are 2 types of domains that I normally see in Domcop:

1. Expiring Domain (with closeout type)
2. Delete / drop the domain.

I am example here for a domain with pending delete type (expiring domain)

Domain initial filtering for analysis:

– Hide fake PR
– Min PR = 1
– Age = 1 year
– Price = $ 5 – $ 20 (adjust to your budget)
– DA = min. 15
– TF = min. 8
– TLD = .com, .net, .org, .info, .co
– Listing Type = Uncheck Auction
– Misc = check hide adult, dashes, hide spammy, digits, and google indexed.

The above section is not the MAIN ANALYSIS for the domain we are about to register as PBN. but only the initial guide or filtering so that there are not too many domains analyzed. because if it’s not filtered like this there will be thousands of domains that appear. we will not analyze one by one. So it does not mean that the domain that meets the above criteria can be registered directly as PBN.

2. Domain Criteria for PBN

The first thing I noticed was a domain name. domain names should use a brand name that reflects the niche of the domain. this at first glance is not too important but it can be a strong foundation when Google’s Manual Review of PBN takes place later.

First Notice the domain with the same topical trust flow, or primary topical trust flow according to your money site niche. this section is very useful so that later we get power from the relevant niche website that goes into our moneysite.

Then you can check for Google index and Google info, just to make sure the data from Domcop is correct. Usually for the expiring domain section, the data from Domcop is valid, except for the delete domain or drop domain section.

Google index = make sure the domain is still indexed, the root domain is turned upside down
Google info = make sure the domain name is the same as the one delisted on Google.

Check backlink profile. You can use a free account from Majestic.com or you can use the features of Domcop. But the results are not as complete as if you use Majestic or Ahref. But it doesn’t matter, because we will only roughly analyze the backlinks that enter the domain.

Here I use majestic.com

Check Trust Flow and Trust Ratio. Better if the TF value is above 8 with a trust ratio above 0.5. But this is only optional for me if the domain has a good backlink profile.

I can register for domains with these conditions. Because the domain has a good TF, which is> 0.5 and all links come from 1 topic.

If I check the referring domain (origin domain), then the web has a backlink from 1 site authority adobe.com and this is related to the niche domain. (2 conditions are met: Authority and Relevant).

Check the Anchor text distribution. Try not to use too many domain phrases in the anchor text. Except if the number of backlinks is still small (can be balanced later)

I check that one of the backlinks is still live, Low OBL and not hacked link.
To check backlinks and hacked links, there is no need for all backlinks to be analyzed. Just look for backlinks that have a high TF, both for url or domain.

Then I check the history of the domain registered before using the wayback machine from archive.org.
What needs to be considered for the profile history of the website is that the website is indeed used as a real website, no activity of the domain has been used for gambling sites, porn, pharma, etc.

If all the criteria are met, then you can register the domain. Because this is a pending delete domain, there is a domain renewal fee. But it doesn’t matter if the condition of the domain is still in. And also you can use a coupon for Godaddy.

To delete a domain, the PR section is invalid and Index is not indexed by Google. But after you register the domain and fill in the content, the domain will be indexed again but for PR because it is not updated then the condition will be PR 0 or n / a. but it doesn’t matter as long as all the above criteria are met.

Setting Up and Managing PBN

Domain Register
Use a different register name for each domain. I usually fill in 1 account / – 12 domains. to delete domain / drop domain you can use namecheap because you love free whois protection.

PBN Hosting
Hosting is better to use hosting that is different from both the IP and the country according to the target I moneysite … if your moneysite is in Indo, hosting if possible 50% also uses Indo hosting.

Can you use reseller hosting ??
many do not recommend using reseller hosting … but my experience. I have 40 PBNs that I host in 1 reseller hosting. and it doesn’t matter if the setting is correct. for those who use a reseller account. We recommend setting the name server both in the domain and also hosting the DNS zonenya add. sometimes even though different IPs can come with the same subnet. For reseller hosting, use the support server in various countries.

Installing CMS for PBN
To make it easier to use WP. there are millions of people who use WP … so there’s no need to be afraid to use a WP for PBN … to diversify. use different cms are also better.

Install Themes and Plugins
Use different themes if you use WP. for themess, it should be edited again … because in my experience there are no full SEO themes that I have encountered … the most important edited part is too many internal links but still on the same page. example of Author. tags, categories that are located below the post or below the post title. this is a link that is not important and is not needed in PBN, can blend authority homepage.

Plugins that you can install are spyware spanker. but not all of my PBNs use this plugin. usually only 30-40% of the total PBN … the rest is in httacces to block robots.

404 Page not found.
in buying a domain, either auction or drop domain, sometimes there are pages / pages that receive backlinks. unfortunately most will redirect the 404 page to the homepage. but this will be the Big Footprint for Google because the massive 404 redirect on the homepage is Soft 404.

for that if the domain that has innerpage receives a Backlink then you can make that page again using the same url. or you can create other relevant content then redirect then the 404 page is detected there. or you can create a custom 404 page and redirect it there.
the simplest thing is if innerpage does not have flow or flow at all from the homepage. so just let the page die …

Design Your PBN.
the average PBn doesn’t care about design because it thinks it’s the same as a dummy blog. for that your PBN design is as unique as possible and as closely as possible with moneysite such as LOGO, header, commonly used install widgets such as subscibe, twitter feed, FB fanpage, etc.
do not use double navigation. for example in the navigation menu you put a category link, then install it in the sidebar again. this is a useless link.
as much as possible put non-important pages / pages in the footer section such as privacy policy, Term Of Use, Contact.

Link To Money Site
Some of the factors that you need to pay attention to are creating links that lead to your site:

Always use Original, Unique and readable content.
Simply enter 1 link to your moneysite the rest you can link to other relevant Authority sites (eg relevant wikipedia pages).
Don’t enter the link that goes to your moneysite in each article that you post on your PBN. Vary so that it’s not too aggressive.
Use variations of Anchor text. with less percent for exact anchor text. Use more branding keywords, partial keword or generic keywords. Then vary the placement link in the article.
Don’t link to your other PBN (interlinking), just point PBN to moneysite.
Avoid links to websites that contain porn, pharma, gambling content and other spam keywords.

OBL on PBN
Nearly 80% of people who use PBN will put the link on the homepage. This is because the PBN owner requests the power homepage that goes to moneysite. This can be a footprint for Google. example. Do you prefer to use themes that contain content appearing all on the homepage or cut with the “read more” link?
almost the average web that we meet on the internet only displays snippets from content with the “read more” link. because it will be much neater and structured.

make sure the overall OBL of the domain does not exceed 20 (including links to authority sites) if you want better power. what I say is that the whole is not just OBL on one page.
The link does not need to appear on the Homepage. this is a MYTH that the link on the innerpage page has no power.
the link on the inner page will be the same if the power homepage is streamed. for that make sure each link is always connected from the homepage either in category, tag, or using internal linking.

Social
Use Social Share on PBN. You can use social exchage services to add vote social sharing. Create a Twitter account and FB page for the PBN.

PBN Fresh Domain
If you only use expired domains for PBN into moneysite this can also be a footprint because you have a profile link that comes from all High Quality domains. for that you can make PBN using the new domain / fresh domain setting exactly like PBN. then link to moneysite. this is to disguise your profile link when a review manual occurs.

In addition to the above method, you can also find a quality expired domain to make the Private Blog Network (PBN) use my method in this article: How to Find Expired Domains. Furthermore, after you find the domain, you can check the quality of the expired domain profile backlink using the technique in my article here: How to find out the Quality Backlink Profile.

The PBN that you create must be optimized like moneysite, so for content creation you must also research keywords first, so that you can provide optimal results to the main website, please read the article keyword research method here: 16 Ways to Keyword Research for Blog Content

PBN is one technique in making quality backlinks, you can’t just rely on PBN and then forget the other SEO side.

Position #9 Increases to Position #3 This Way – The Hidden Relevance

The Hidden Relevance, if you look at it from the title, you might imagine that this is a secret technique or a hidden way to do SEO, but in fact it’s not what you imagine. I named it Hidden because it will not be visible to visitors when you optimize using this method. Can it be like that? isn’t it dangerous?

I will explain later, before I want to explain first about relevance. All search engines must use this factor in the algorithm, because they want what appears in the search results, just like what the searcher typed in the search box. Because it will be very disturbing if what we type in the search engine results are not in accordance with what is displayed by search engines.

Relevance can be interpreted as a relationship that has the same meaning. Usually we definitely apply this in the content. The most visible implementation of relevance is the title of the article and the content of the article that is definitely related, for example if in the title we discuss “how to get rid of zits” then the content should discuss “how to get rid of zits”.

Most bloggers are only fixated on Title tags, meta descriptions, and content in applying this relevance. But actually Google always says that the relevance in Google Patents is Document. So that not only content that affects relevance but all documents in a web. This is where most bloggers begin to apply relevance between documents (content), usually by applying SILO Architecture and Internal links in content to connect to other related articles (Related Links).

Silo and internal links will be visually visible in the content, but there is one more way to make relevance between content, but its position is not visible in the article because we use the “rel = next” Element link and “prev = rail”. Visually it will not be visible because for this link element the position in the code is the same as the Meta Tag.

You may be familiar with this Link element, there are so many themes or blogspot templates that use these features. But unfortunately most use it not optimally because “rel = next” and “rel = prev” are link elements used for paginated content (serial content), which means that Google will see the content as 1 serial content but each or each URL Content will remain indexed perfectly by Google in search engines, in contrast to “rel = canonical”. Maybe this is also the reason why most webmasters only use it on the same homepage as the example above.

This is not a problem, but when the web that you create is a niche general, then using “rel = next” and “rel = prev” in the themes will not be optimal because you can connect between irrelevant content. For this reason, I try to take advantage of this feature in the posting page to get added value from the relevance between the related “article series”. I have applied this method to one of my web clients and has a pretty good positive effect:

You might be confused what I mean by article series here. I like this example, I will make an article titled “5 tourist attractions in Bandung”, surely in the article I will discuss the five places such as “Tangkuban Perahu”, “White Crater”, “Strawberry Garden”, “Ciater” and “situ patenggang lake”. but on the other hand I also made content again about the five places that explained in detail the tourist attractions.

In general, what is usually done by webmasters will be to provide an internal link or Related Link to each of the tourist content in the content of “5 tourist attractions in Bandung” or can make SILO using categories or Page. In addition to these 2 ways we can make it into a content series (paginated content) by giving the Link Element “rel =” next “and” rel = prev “on the 6 content. So here I have 6 serial content:

5 tourist attractions in Bandung that must be visited (View All Page)
Nostalgic with history in Tangkuban Perahu.
Enjoy the exotic white crater
Pamper the eyes of the ciwidey strawberry garden
Relex and relax at the Sari Ater hot spring, Ciater
Enjoy the view on the boat at Situ Patenggang Lake

Now we try to apply the Link Element “rel = next” and “rel = prev” in the 6 content. Previously we first installed several plugins to make it easier:

Wp Head Cleaner (if your themes have a default “rel = next” and “rel = prev”)
Average Head & Footer Code
First, if your themes have a default feature that raises “rel = next” and “rel = prev” on every page / content, then you have to eliminate them first, because the link element is the same as “rel = canonical”, then there is no allowance 2 The exact same Link Element in 1 page. Next settings like this:

Next we just enter the Element link “rel = next” and “rel = prev” in the custom head & footer code box in every content of the 6 serial content that will be created (after installing the Average head & footer Code plugin):

It should be noted that for the first content, there is only the “rel = next” link because there is no previous content so there is no need to display “rel = prev”:

For the last content, there is only the “rel = prev” link because there is no further content so that “rel = next” does not need to appear:

But for content 2-5, we enter the link “rel = next” and “rel = prev” like this:

In order for you to better understand, I immediately demonstrated based on my example above for the content of “5 tourist attractions in Bandung”, I will discuss one by one how to include this Link Element in each of these content:

Easy to apply right? That way we have told Google that this is serial content (1 piece of content) but the 6 content will still be indexed in Google to anticipate if there are users who search on Google with the keyword “Tangkuban Perahu Tourism” or other. So the Web You still have content to display on Search Engines.

Keep in mind that Google does not guarantee that the use of this Link Element gives the effect of increasing position in search result, but it will give a strong effect of relevance between each serial content. And if we go back to the Algorithm that is concerned with relevance, this technique will help position your articles in the search results.

When should this method be used?
Well, the most frequently asked question for this technique is “does all the content have to be created / included in this link element?”. The answer is of course NO. Pagination was made by one of Google engineers to anticipate loading a page that was too long because it was too large in size (maybe because the content was too long and the image was too much). According to Maile Ohye (Google engineer), loading for all page views is no more than 4 seconds for good performance for users and search engines.

For that, if the homepage or view page is all like category and the tag is too long or too much content, then themes will usually use pagination and cutting with the “read more” link on the page to anticipate too heavy a page loading.

Like the example above, I use View All Page, which is in content 1: “5 Tourist Places in Bandung” which displays the 5 content in its depth with a brief description of each tourist spot. You might not use View All Page like the example above, but immediately discuss the name of the tourist course, if it is considered to display the view all page is too heavy loading.

16 Ways to Research Keywords for Blog Content

There are many ways to research keywords / keywords ranging from free to paid methods, from the simplest way to complicated ways. This article I will give you 16 tips on keyword research that you can use to create your blog content.

Keyword is the most important part before you start optimizing the website or before you write articles on your blog, because if the keyword research is wrong the results will also not be optimal, it’s useless you bleed in SEO Onpage and Offpage but you choose the wrong keywords.

Keyword research is a way to identify your enemies, what keywords you should target, how to compete, how to monetize it if the target keyword is on the first page.

The purpose of keyword research is NOT just to search for easy keywords to enter the first page. The purpose of keyword research is to search for keywords that have the potential to generate high traffic and also have high value for your business.

I discussed how to choose high-value keywords in the next article. This article I will discuss how to find keyword ideas for your website.

Here I summarize 16 ways to research keywords to find ideas that you can use to create blog content.

1. Ubersuggest
The first way you can use the ubersuggest tool is neil patel. This tool is free and gives decent results to find the keyword ideas you want to target. The results of the data provided are also quite complete, such as search volume, which we cannot see anymore through the Google keyword planner.

In contrast to most other keyword research tools that usually only give “derivative keyword” results, ubersuggest can provide new keyword ideas that are still relevant to the keywords you are targeting.

Here I try to find the idea of keywords for the target keyword “diet”. The result is not like the google keyword planner that displays all the keywords that contain the word “diet”, ubersuggest provides keyword ideas that are relevant to the word diet like this:

The keyword that appears is “how to lose weight”, very relevant to diet keywords. Besides that, Ubersuggest also provides keyword competitiveness features, namely “SEO Scientific (SD)” which is in the far right column with a range of 1 – 100, the higher the value, the more difficult the competition.

The SD parameter uses DA and PA MOZ as a measure of the strength of the website on the first page, so this value is not accurate, my advice should not be too focused on the Keyword Competition from the results of keyword research tools. To see the competition, you should immediately check the website on the first page of Google directly.

2. Wikipedia
The next place you can use to find keyword ideas for your website is “WIKIPEDIA”.

You only need to enter one of the articles according to the topic you are targeting.

From this article you can find keyword ideas that are relevant to the topic of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) such as keyword density, Ranking manipulation, page rank, result page, inbound links, google, link schame, meta tags, etc.

What if my web is Indonesian? easy, you just need to translate it to Indonesian. Or you can look for it on Wikipedia Indonesia.

This is the result when I scrape related keywords from Wikipedia using word2vec (machine learning):

I found keyword ideas that are relevant to SEO topics such as semantic, pagerank, crawl, indexing, HTML, Content.

3. Long Tail Pro
Long tail pro is one of the paid tools that is quite popular among SEO practitioners. The best known is the KC matrix (competitiveness keyword) where this metric gives you information about the difficulty level of the keyword ranked on the first page.

This matrix calculates the matrix that the website has on the first page of Google, parameters that are taken into account such as the number of links, TF, aged, and the relationship with the title of the website on the first page.

You can try long tail pro with the trial version first.

4. Semrush
Just like ubersuggest, you can provide keyword ideas for the topic of your website. In addition to finding new ideas from the main keywords, then most often used to find keyword ideas of competitors. Just like the LTP and ubbersugest tools, semrush also displays search volumes that are not currently displayed by google keyword planner, so you have an idea of how much traffic you will get if your keyword is ranked first.

Any keywords that are ranked by competitors or which keywords your competitors haven’t optimized can use using Semrush’s tools. Unfortunately semrush tools do not provide information on the level of difficulty for these keywords. Different from Long Tail Pro tools that provide information on keyword difficulty levels based on KC metrics (Keyword Competitiveness).

5. Keyword Competitors
This way you can search for keyword ideas directly from your competitors website.

You can directly type in your competitors’ web or search it first on Google according to your target keywords.

This method is quite easy, you just need to pay attention to each article on the web and the categories used.

Try to enter each post, then check the keywords they use, how to submit the article using what method, you just need to modify it and discuss it from a different perspective. Remember, don’t copy and paste competitor articles into our web, just look at the article idea, what is discussed, what keywords appear.

From looking at the list of articles belonging to competitors, we can already get what keyword ideas we will use. Please list all of these keywords.

You can also enter each article to get other relevant keywords, this phase I will discuss in the next article why you should collect relevant keywords for each of the main keywords that you are targeting.

6. Google Hidden Keyword
This feature is still relatively new from the Google search results, which we have known from the search results there are only two, namely google suggest (a keyword that appears when we type a query in the search box), and google related search (usually appears at the end search).

This one can be said as HIDDEN because keywords will appear after we enter one of the websites of Google search results, then click the “back” button in the browser. The result will be like this:

Why is hidden because this keyword actually appears in the search results, but Google uses the css code so that the new keyword appears when the user presses the back button on the browser.

To see this keyword, you only need to enter one web site from the search results of the query that you are targeting, then press the back button on the browser, later related keywords will appear for the url that you visited earlier.

7. Kwfinder
These tools are the same as the suggestions but the kwfinder tools are paid, for the free version only a few keywords are limited.

Thefinder also provides information on the level of competition for keywords with a value of 1-100, the higher the value also the more difficult the competition.

8. Scrapebox Keyword Tool
Scrapebox is one of the SEO tools that most use it for backlink activity, but actually Scrapebox functions not only for backlinks, as the name implies scrapebox actually functions to do scraping, or collect data.

There are many features that can be used using Scrapebox, one of which is to generate multiple keywords, but only keywords, there is no other information such as the number of searches or keyword competition information such as Ubbersugest, Longtailpro or Kwfinder above.

9. Google Search Console
Google Webmaster tools which are now Google Search Console (GSC) are one of the Google tools that must be installed on your main website, a lot of information is obtained from your GSC dashboard.

With GSC you can see the performance of your main website, how to Crawl Google against the web, if there are errors in the structure of the website, you can even see whether the website is under Google’s control or better known as the Manual Action.

GSC can also be used to view search queries that have entered your website, so you can know which keywords have not been optimized, whether you need to create new articles or optimize existing articles.

The function of this feature is to see the number of times your website appears when a user types in a particular query, and how many times your website is clicked for that query. After Google was able to ascertain what percentage of your website’s CTR to search for these queries.

This method is better used when your website has many articles, because Google will display more search queries.

Please go to Search Traffic> Search Analytics.

In the example above, I can find out that the Saungseo website appeared 1,778 times for seo keyword searches in the last 28 days in Google search results and 132 users entered my website.

You can download all the results, because it is easier to analyze using Microsoft Excel.

Then filter the impressions section, please filter> 50, then highlight the columns from large to small positions. Later you can see keywords that you haven’t optimized.

10. keywordtool.io
Keywordtool.io is one of the paid tools that provides search results from Google Suggest. These tools are paid to see all the data such as number of searches, cpc values, trends and adword competition.

But to find ideas you only need the keywords, for the competition can be done manually which I will discuss in the next material.

11. Google Suggestion & Related Search
Google suggestion and related keywords always appear when you do a search on Google. From these 2 features you can also find ideas for keywords to make articles or can be used to strengthen the main keywords that you are targeting.

By using Google Suggestion and Google Related Search you can find the main keyword to be an article that you will discuss in your web or can be used as a support keyword from your main keyword.

To search keyword recipe cakes, Google gives clue or alternative keywords related to cake recipes, then I choose the top position, namely “wet cake recipe”

After you click search, then scroll to the bottom of the Google search results, then you will also see related keywords that Google gives for results from Wet Cake Recipe like this:

Google Suggest and Related keyword is actually almost the same function, which is giving searches related to the keywords you are targeting, usually results from google suggestion or related search will usually be the main keywords that will be made into articles even if they will be made into supporting keywords separate articles and made silos for the internalink structure to be more optimal.

I will discuss this issue in the next article.

12. Histats
Histats is one of the tools of Visitor Stats counter or you can say that the number of visitors that enter your website.

In addition to recording how many visitors enter your website, histats also record visitors who enter through Google search engines using what keywords.

13. Marketplace
Another way you can find keyword ideas that you can use on your website is to look for it in the marketplace.

There are many marketplaces that you can use to find article-making ideas, for example for the local market. You can use the Tokopedia marketplace because there you can see all categories that can be your idea of creating website content or keywords that you can use to strengthen your main keywords.

14. Ahrefs
Ahref is one of the most used SEO tools by webmasters to look at backlinks owned by their website or analyze backlinks of competitors’ websites.

Ahref’s data is far more complete than its competitors such as MOZ and Majestic, it’s not surprising if most webmasters choose ahref as their flagship tool to analyze a website.

In addition to providing more complete data, Ahref has a feature that not only analyzes backlinks but is also able to retrieve any keyword data ranked by a website.

You can just enter your website or you can use your web site’s competitors:

From the ahrefs data we can see what keywords are caught for the website, how many searches, potential traffic and also the position of keywords in the search engines.

This tool is very useful for optimizing keywords that you have not optimized on your website or you can use to create new articles from the results of those keywords.

15. Spying Method
It is almost the same as the number 4 above where you are looking for keyword ideas from competitor websites that are on the first page of Google, but for this method you do not look for it from the website on the first page, but from websites that have sold expensive on flippa.com.

How to Research This keyword uses the tools that I have discussed above, namely semrush, or you can also use ahrefs.

Please log in to flippa> Established sites> Just Sold

Then you can choose the website and niche that you want to emulate. Next you just enter the url or web domain name you choose into the tools like that.

Download all the results to make it easier to organize each keyword.

16. Keyword Revealer
These tools are the same as Long Tail Pro above, the difference is the parameter in determining the competition keyword or the level of competition on the first page. Previously for the LTP tool, use the metric parameter from majestic, for the keyword revealer using the metric from MOZ.

For other alternatives you can also use these tools in finding keywords for your website.

These tools are paid, but you can use the free version first.

The 16 keyword research methods above are just the way you collect a list of potential keywords for your blog or website. Not that you can directly use it to make content.

Of the 16 ways the keyword research above does not all provide information such as search volume and the level of competition for those keywords. For those who do not provide information on search volume, you can check the ubersuggest, and you can check the difficulty level of the keyword directly on the first page, how about the keyword competition.

In addition, from the list of keywords that you get using the method above, you have to filter them again which keywords can be made into 1 or combined with several other keywords, which keywords are high based on the type of website and what type of monetize you use to Your website.
